Most of us probably have curriculum and books sitting on our shelves that we don’t use. That’s why I thought it would be great to have a Curriculum Clear-Out! This is an idea I’ve seen on Homeschool Creations and I thought it would be great to try it out here in the UK.
I’ve got a few extra books we won’t be using, and it’s a shame to see them go to waste, so I want to offer them here for other HE families to use. Hopefully other people can join me, dust off your shelves and hold give-aways on your blogs, then link back to here so we can keep it all in one place.
Why are we doing this?
The idea is to get as much unused stuff to as many good homes as possible. People give away items and leave details of their give-aways here and on their on blogs to make sure lots of people can find all the information.
How will it work?
On 17th April I will put a post on If Not School? with details of the items I am giving away. If you also have something to give away, then during the give-away period please do the following:
1. Write a post on your blog with details of your item(s) and ask readers to leave a comment or send you an email to say they want it.
2. Put a link on your post back to If Not School?
Copy this: http://ifnotschool.blogspot.com/search/label/Curriculum%20Clear-OUT
3. Put a comment on If Not School? with a link to your blog and give-away.
4. At the end of the give-away period, select your winner using random.org or something similar.
5. Post the item to the winner (you need to pay for postage yourself as this is a give-away)
If you want an item then leave a comment on the relevant blog post.
What can I give away?
Any curriculum or item for home education that is in usable condition. It can be a textbook, audio-book or ordinary book.
Do I need to have a blog to offer a give-away?
No. You can leave a comment with information on what you are giving away on If Not School?. You will also need to leave contact details.
Can I start my give-away at any time?
Yes. Since the Curriculum Clear-OUT will be going on for almost 2 weeks, you can join at any time.
Are there any other requirements?
Yes. Please use the button {html link is on the right side bar below the button} or post a link back to this blog.
If you have any other questions, feel free to comment and ask!
